Robot Wars. Anyone else seen that show? One version, which usually plays on PBS 54 late nights, the guy from
Red Dwarf hosts it, the other on TNT Mick Foley hosts. I don't know what it is about this show but it just kicks ass. I believe there's other kinds of robot wars, spin offs, but as far as I know this is the original. In this version, there are
house robots Refbot, Shunt, Dead Metal, Matilda, Sergeant Bash, and my favorite Sir Killalot.
The housebots, thought to be indestructable, last night I saw a contender, Razer, take on two house robots. Claiming to have a grip of over 900 lbs the feisty scorpion-looking thing took chunks out of his challenger and the housebots. Shunt has his bulldoser blade bent. Matilda had her outer shell ripped away from her. This was the first time I've ever seen a contender bot even touch a house bot like that. What's more is the next episode another contenter by the name of Chaos2 started flipping house robots on their sides. Makes me want to go out and build one of my own.
