08/13/2002: "Lord of the Rings"

$#^@#$%@#$% Why didn't anyone tell me ''Lord of the Rings'' was a $#^@#$% 2.75 hour movie?! I put the movie in at about 2:30 am, I look up at the clock at about 4 and ask myself, ''When the @#% is this movie going to end?!'' It wasn't bad or anything, I just didn't expect it to be THAT long. I suppose I should have read the books first, huh. Now, it was just a cool movie, instead of a good comparison. In high school I only read The Hobbit and even that wasn't even a memory in my mind. Of course, if you know me you'll know that my favorite part of the movie was near the beginning when the two old wizards fought, who was it... Gandalf and Saruman I believe. I could have used a little more hand to hand than magic, but then again if you were a wizard wouldn't you fight with magic too?
