I've had a large feeling of nostalgia lately. I blame it on my little brother. He ransacked my parents' room and too all the old home videos and watched them. Don't ask me why he did, he's a little weird sometimes. But, after walking past his room while he was playing an old tape of us playing hockey, I sat down with him and watched a bit. I believe that was sometime senior year. I wish I had a working video/audio capture thingie, I'd try to put up a clip of it. Oh well. In any case, I was going through some of MY tapes and came upon some old tae kwon do, hockey, and even wrestling tapes!
Yes, I'm guilty of being a wrestler. How many of you knew that? I wrestled 7th, 8th, and Freshman year in High School. 7th, I dunno how well I did. 8th I went to county's. Freshman I went to CCS. I managed to score
MVP 7th grade and Freshman years. My brother found out I wrestled in JR. & High school. He also found out I was in the lowest weight class the whole time and that many of my matches were won by a bye. Sure, it's true, I don't care. I did however prove myself when I had the chance, especially with finals. I lost interest in wrestling during Freshman year since I started tae kwon do.
Starting from scratch, I moved up the ranks fairly quickly. I managed to become 1st degree black belt in 2 years and for my remaining year I was Head Instructor, Co-Owner, and head of the demonstration team. Ah, those were the days. I was a real show-off back in those days. Being on the Demo Team really pushed me to learn new things like cool moves and flips and stuff. Really early in my tae kwon do career, my potential was definetly discovered and I was placed on the demo team as a white belt. On my own time, while I was in the studio and no classes, I pushed myself to learn backflips, frontflips, arials, and other cool things. This jumpstarted a whole new era for the studio. LOL, I call it the ''Wong'' era. At one point in time I actually had a demo competition with the Head Master and the other school of ours. I forget where it was, I think it was some church. After the dust cleared, our demo team came up top. I wish I had a video of it. I know someone who does. But I can't seem to find her. I'm also missing my black belt testing on video. I WOULD have that on tape, but my parents didn't go to it. So, I don't have a tape of it. I know of 2 people who have a video of that, and again, I have no way of contacting them. So, sad. I never got to replay that time of my life. One of the highlights of my life. My peak. So sad. Now it's gone. Gone forever? I hope not, I hope I can get a copy of those tapes. Perhaps... Someday.
Today was our outing at the Pruneridge Golf Course. I did horrible today, it was so pathetic. I dunno what it was, but I just couldn't hit straight. Maybe I just need more practice. You can see our scored by either clicking on the comments link or by clicking on ''MORE.'' I got a little lazy with the putts. I think moO had fun out there, but I know she was really frustrated with the game in general. I think, today, I was too. I think we bored my brother out there 'cause we took so long. Maybe that's why he went to Deep Cliff an hour or so ago without me! Ph4g!!! I wanted to go to Deep Cliff. It's way better than Pruneridge. I dunno if it was just the time of day, but it was really muddy. All in all, I think Deep Cliff is a better course, and plus it's prettier. I think I'll bring a camera next time!
Check out my
link of the moment. I saw this a long time ago, and recently surfaced to me again, I thought I'd share it with you. It's pretty cool CG. Don't care for the car
AT ALL, but very well done.
