Phillip Hockey [Pics]

I knew I forgot something when I posted the write-up of my Thanksgiving weekend. I tried to take some pics of Phillip’s hockey game. Unfortunetly, it was too fast pace that I couldn’t follow the game and take pictures at the same time. So, here’s the ONLY pic I managed to get clear.

Ahahaahhaahahaa, yeah, Phillip’s in that picture. Look again.

I’m a nice brother.

I wasn’t really holding my breath for this, but it would have been nice to at least get the second interview. Even if it were to just humor me. I didn’t tell many people about this, in fear of jinxing myself. Guess it doesn’t matter… I’m never going to get another good job, am I? JOY! Happy Birthday 2 me! Excuse me while I go kill myself.

Hockey Sunday

Yay! We won a game! We were up 0-3 until the last period when we got real lazy and let them score a couple. At the end we came up 2-3. Oh, me? I didn’t do anything. I was 3rd line and a left winger. I had a few scoring chances one went wide the other 2 all I got was blockers. I felt real useless. Yeah, so it really sucked for me because I don’t feel I was played much ’cause I know I skated hard, but didn’t feel tired. I suppose it was because we actually had full 3 forward lines tonight, as opposed to the 1 and 2/3 lines we used to. Oh well, congrats us. Maybe next time moO will come and cheer me on and maybe I’ll score one…

“I need NOS”

AHAAhahAhAaAHaHaahaaAhAhaaHAHHHaaa eBay SUCKS! They really need to weed out stupid people, and here’s one way. Now if we could just get rid of the sellers of said stupid products too. Sounds much like the ”Electric Turbo!” Finally, someone has responded and tried to inform the public of these scams.

D&B and Tony

Friday night was my ”Homie” party. Where the HELL were YOU!? So yeah we all went to Dave and Busters for some drinks and dinner. Drinks? Adam doesn’t drink alcohol, he drinks fruit drinks. Yeah? Shut up. So I had a Cosmo yesterday… I also had a Lemon Drop and a Mind Eraser. The Mind Eraser wasn’t as strong as the name. Sad… I over stuffed myself with the Bar Burgers and a sh’t load of fries. TRY THE BAR BURGERS! To me, sweet and salty seem counter-intuitive. You know keep one with itself and the other with itself. That’s just me. I’m not the type to put salt on watermelon or sugar on pop corn. WEIRD! At least to me, sorry if YOU do it, it’s just me… So, yeah, it’s a burger with hawaiian sweet rolls… MMMMMMMM Yummie!!!! Try it! If not at D&B Then somewhere!

So, yeah, taking pictures in one of those booths at Dave and Buster’s was Tony Hawk. TONY HAWK. I didn’t actually shake his had, ’cause I’m a chicken sh’t like that, but I just wouldn’t wanna disturb someone when they’re with their family. So yeah, I didn’t approach him in fear of a conversation like this:

Adam: Hey! You’re Tony Hawk!
Tony: Yeah, sup. (ok, maybe not ”sup”, whatever)
A: Dude, I, like, play your 4th game, like, EVERY DAY!
T: Thanks, (Muttering) You f’n geek.
A: Hey, how do you pass that goal in San Fran…
T: Listen, kid, I’ve never played that game, they just scanned me and send me a check, so beat it.
A: Oh, thank you lord skate border. Can I shake your hand?
T: No thanks, I just washed my hands. Go shake that guy’s hand, I just shook his.
A: Thank you, thank you!

So in fear of this whole conversation taking place, I didn’t bother Mr. Hawk. But I DID shake Anthony’s hand, who shook Tony Hawk’s hand! So, it’s just like I shook Tony Hawk’s hand! Oddly Tony isn’t as big as I’d think. People around there were totally like, ”Oh… BTW, Tony Hawk is here…” Like he wasn’t anything. No huge crowds around him asking for autographs. I guess not many people know him. I don’t even REALLY like skateboarding all that much, but I was stoked to see him! Not every day I see a famous or even semi-famous person… I was wondering why the security was upped that night, it was oddly higher for a regular Friday night. What I guessed is that he made an appearance at Vans down the hall in the mall. Vans is this pretty cool skate park in the mall. Where the hell were skate parks when I was a ”skater”?! You know the whole month somewhere in Freshman or Sophmore year? Ah, screw it, I could barely land a kick flip. Ok, I need to stop lying, I couldn’t even land it then. I didn’t land one until a couple years ago when I was messing with my brother’s board. That’s why I tossed my board for tae kwon do belts and ice hockey gear…

Oh, yeah… Thanksgiving and My Birthday!!!!

I guess I forgot to write about my actual Thanksgiving. I went out to moO‘s Aunt’s house for Thanksgiving dinner, and it turned out to be lunch and dinner. I’m not even accustomed to spending a whole day with my own family, let alone with moO’s family. But, moO’s sister, niNi, was bringing her BF, Anthony, so I agreed to go. Now, being an ordinary Chinese family, what would I expect to find for lunch/dinner? Yeah, Chinese food. Although it was good (I think everyone loved the MOUNDS of egg rolls), I still coulda used some Stove Top stuffing. Yes, I’m a Stove Top whore. Sad, I can eat Stove Top as a meal all in itself. Then again it’s normal for me as I used to eat cream cheese by itself and I used to live off ramen and cup-o-noodles. We all managed to keep ourselves occupied by playing with the new twin babies, playing Warcraft 3 and Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2, or Adam’s Dirty Pictionary. Wait, what did I say? Yes, dirty Pictionary. Well, within specific ”family” oriented parameters. I didn’t feel like playing or drawing so I got to make up the zany words and phrases they had to draw. One word was ”homosexual”, I don’t remember seeing what was drawn, but I know it got a reaction. I really wish I kept the pictures so I could scan them and put them up here. Oh well, maybe next time. Maybe I’ll just leave it up to your imagination now.

So, yesterday was my birthday. Yay! Now its over =( Yesterday, for some odd reason, I woke up at 8 am. Yes, I said 8 AM. I know, I never wake up early. I don’t know what it is, but I just woke up at 8. I wasn’t anxious about it being my birthday or anything. I just woke up early, that

Happy Birthday ME!!!!!!!!! and Stuff.

First thing’s first I hope everyone had a safe and happy Turkey Day. This year I didn’t spend it with my own family. I spend it with moO’s I think that’s a first for me. Well, it’s not a first that I don’t spend Thanksgiving with family, I think I haven’t done many holiday family functions in a while… except Christmas, but duh! This whole Thanksgiving break, my brother, Phillip (I know I don’t mention him much here… or anywhere), had a Thanksgiving hockey tournament. Yes, Phillip’s in hockey too. He started the same time as I, but proceeded when I decided to go another route. Darn, I should have stayed in it; alas, that’s another matter. So, his team placed 3rd only because they managed to lose, I think, to the SJ Jr. Sharks. The whole long weekend things kept getting higher priority than his hockey, but I managed to get out there this Sunday and watch his 3rd/4th place game. He scored 2 goals of the 4-2 game where they won and placed 3rd. But, all I could do is badger him as to why he didn’t score on that breakaway he had. Ha! What else are big brothers for?! The crazy thing about the weekend is that they found out that one of their team members had to sit out of the tournament because he had gotten into an accident and wasn’t hurt, just couldn’t play. Later we find out from some gossip and the SJ Mercury News that there was an accident and a killing of a Los Gatos (?) teen involving a SUV. Apparently, it might have been a drunk driving thing. They think it was him. He’d now in, I think, Juvenile Hall, and waiting on sentence. One more push that it was probably him, is that someone told me that the coach claimed they had to find another defenseman. Kinda scary. Vehicular Manslaughter. Can you believe it? When the poor kid gets out of there and applies to a job, he has to check the ”have you ever been convicted of a felony” box. I hope I never EVER have to check it.

I don’t know how to segue from that other than… Anyway… Ah, yes. The annual ”Oh crap, I’m a year older” day is here. This year is just another year. I can’t wait for 1 more year, then I can get lower insurance AND be able to rent a car! But, that’s pretty much it. Today, I’m gonna go to Hockey Workout with Phillip after school (he’ll probably flake as usual), and to Olive Garden for dinner. But the weekend is where the party is. DAVE and Busters Milpitas 7ish for dinner and misc drinks. See if you can come find me there!

Hockey Sunday

Add another friggen loss on the stats sheet. Oh, I already did. Damn, we gotta win the last couple games just to not get last place. The one thing that never gets old when playing hockey? Getting sat on by a guy twice your weight 3 to 5 seconds after the check and then to say, ”Ooops?” … Nice.

I had a few scoring chances that didn’t turn out in my favor. Yeah, well, I don’t play too well when I don’t have an audience. Don’t believe me? Tough, I know it’s true, and I DO have proof. In any case, I had a 1 on 0 against the goalie and was checked from behind when I was shooting, I proceded to slide toward the goalie and no call was made. In the official rule book, thats a penalty shot. But there was no call, so F U. My other big scoring chance was another 1 on 0 wide open break away, a few dekes, pull the trigger, and aw, goalie stick. Bah. I had a pretty good play with my wings (I played 1st line center today) 3 on 1, I was coming down the boards with the puck, I saw the wings to my right, held the puck a little longer to reach the goal and get a good pass on stick, and pass it, and nothing, intercepted and cleared. I passed it a little too late. Well, at least I’m looking around and passing more now instead of going all me. That a good team mate… Oh, well, by odds we gotta win one soon, even if by mistake.

I think we need team jerseys. Maybe the refs will take us a little more seriously. Yes, I said we need team jerseys. We look like the friggen first season ”Mighty Ducks,” or the ‘‘Bad News Bears” of hockey. Oh well. Maybe we’ll win one soon…
