A few weeks ago I went to a funeral for our family friend Al, this Thursday I went to my dad’s Uncle Bill’s. He was a great guy, and some of you might remember passing his house alot. He lived around the corner from me in the big 2.5 story house. We’ll miss you Uncle Bill…

So, today my mom drop the news paper in front of me and says, ”Do you recognize these girls?” I’m like, should I? I never actually met these girls, nor have I ever seen them around. So, I later found out that these girls were at my Uncle Bill’s funeral. One give away was the white Isuzu. I recall just before leaving that people were asking who had the white Isuzu, ’cause they needed to move their car so someone could leave the restraunt parking lot. And I remember one of the girls in the picture there. Such a sad tragedy so young. Not that age really matters, at any age losing someone isn’t good. I wonder if my Auntie Marian (sp?) went to their memorial service. If she knew, most likely.

I told Ray I was a little worried that since the 2 funerals I’ve been to, who was the 3rd? He instantly knew what I was talking about when I said they came in 3’s. Oddly enough there were 2 in the car who passed on. So, was this actually 4? Or did this not count since they were not directly linked to me? In any case, it saddens me for all this loss in one point in time. My heart goes to everyone.

AH yes, nothing like further enduring a scoring slump. Especially when you’re fed the puck for a FOR SURE goal with a nice screen. DAMN. This one wasn’t an easy win, this team was pretty snippy. Too bad, Sean got all his available penalties in the first period. I know I was held up alot, but it’s nice to know you can still drop someone who tries to do the same to you…

Has anyone else seen the commercial for Socom 2 yet? LOL F’king funny. I’ll let you find it. Or if I see a link online I’ll post it, too funny. Damn, I need to get my copy! Maybe Friday…

Chalk another W for us, BABY! Again, not much help from me, as I didn’t score or get an assist and I came out with a -1… We played REALLY hard this game, despite that fact, I was worried we’d pull a typical Misfit game and let it all slip away at the end. Luckly, fate brought us some light when our injured player Rich came to play with us today. He was out with a sprained knee (?) and CLAIMED he hasn’t done any exercising in the past, oh I dunno a month or so. LIAR! HA, he pulled a hat trick out of a bag leading us to victory. Great plays by everyone especially by the usual Joe and Marshall who ALWAYS somehow know where each other are. Despite my lame slump of no goal in, I don’t know how long and I’d rather not think about it, I played rather well. I had a BUNCH of stamina to throw at the other team. Which is odd, ’cause I had to work today and that damn thunderstorm woke me up and I couldn’t get much sleep before I had to wake up to go to work. I caught up with a puck holder from one end of the ice to the other, with apologies to (I think it was) Steve, who I think should have taken the shooter, but I was behind him most of the way and decided to follow through. I had my own chances to score, but since I’m deemed to not score for a while, I couldn’t convert. One was a really good chance where I cut from next to the boards all the way to in front of the goal with another skater on my ass the whole time, and I guess I got too close to the crease (sp?) and the goalie swiped his stick right under my skates as I jumped over his stick falling to my face of course. These f’king refs sucked today as usual. One last note, WTF is with that p*ssy not shaking hands after the game?! As I told my Dad, if the kids did that they would get their asses handed to the by their coaches. (Oddly enough one of the refs is pals with the guy that didn’t shake hands) Ph4g…. Great game guys, let’s keep the streak going! And maybe sometime soon I can BREAK my non-scoring streak…

Woooooo… Anyone in the San Jose area NOT witness the HUGE thunder this morning say 5:20am? Thunder so loud it could wake the dead. No, seriously, it woke me up, and moO tells me that’s a feat not accomplished easily. moO says it hit somewhere in San Jose, but SJ is pretty big, and I didn’t see anything about it on or in the news anywhere. I’m sure if no one died, no one in the media really cares. Kinda like that summer thunder storm we had over here, no coverage, nothing. But it was big enough for Saratoga Police to roam the hills kicking people off the hills for loitering, and oddly enough just parked their car and watch from their view. Stupid cops.

Anyone want a great Tempest Arcade game? I’m getting rid of mine so I can, hopefully, park my car in the damn garage one of these years. I’d rather sell it to someone I know, so I put it here. Email me if you’re interested.

Ah, my slump returns for another week. The team we played was very snipy right from the first drop of the puck. I didn’t get into a fight with the goalie this week. I’m going to write like a 6 year old now. From the stats, looks like we had a STRONG 2nd period. But I was surprised to see we didn’t score any in the 3rd. I played like crap yesterday, didn’t help that I was clipped with a knee-to-knee contact early on. Stupid laces, brand new and a little too short even though they’re like 128″ or something. I never get the right size. I wonder, did I even get any chances last night? I know I came out with a -2 last night. Damnit. I need to stop working and exercise more, so I can condition for hockey more. Blah, must stop, getting depressed. <^>

Ok, so I got a little lazy, sue me. I had to work OT last night. Well, anyway, another game we let slip away. I know we worked hard in the first, but I don’t know why this team took it away from us. They weren’t better. We just got careless. I know Marshall messed up his groin in the first, so that hurt us as well. Hope you’re better now Marshall. I had a few stupid chances up front the goal. I made a few nice moves from the boards to the goal, but lost it last second and didn’t see Mike crashing the net and basically took what looked like a short pass from me to him back and lost a chance. Bah, I suck. I’ve been in a slump for a while. Time to get my ass back in the game!
