Yes, I’m not f’king with you. THAT was the score. I noticed I don’t write in chronological order all too often. So maybe I’ll just try to do my best.

Let’s see… Chronological… Well, for starters, I lead it off with the first goal, and I did it while remaining standing and not my usual crash the net past it while running into the boards behind the goal hoping it to go in… So, yeah. Goal!

Even in the beginning, the other team was VERY chippy. I was getting hit pretty hard throughout the game. I managed to draw 2 penalties this game. But MANY weren’t called. There was one crap where some how I was hooked and his stick and glove went flying, I saw him picking up his stick and glove, I SO wanted to cross check his f*cking ass for not getting called. But I kept my cool and kinda pulled his stick further from him ”accidentally” as I skated past. HA. I did manage a really bad fall or rather WWF move. I was in front of their goal and some how I was clotheslined flat on my back. luckly I have that spine protector on my chest protector, or it wouldn’t have been fun. I dunno how it looked but probably as cool as you might see in the Mighty Ducks movies. But, BOY did it hurt when I landed. But that’s not the half of my worries. My last shift I was racing for the puck in the offensive end, got in front of the D (or behind?) I’m pushed/shoved/checked (whatever) I land on my knee, somehow injured it, while passing the puck to our D man of the night, Brian, (Sorry Sean, you don’t get the title, you flaked out on us HA j/k) while Dave gets a good screen on the goalie. And the 8th goal is scored.

I don’t know how the 9th goal was scored because I was sitting on beside the bench in pain when I twisted my knee, after streching it out a little and walking it off, the pain subsides. For now… or then, whatever.

Now, you’re probably wondering how the only other team’s goal was scored and why. Well, for some reason the other team thought it was bring your family day at Logitech Ice and our team didn’t get the memo (joke), my parents always go so they were the only ones on our… ”side”, and rumor has it that our goalie Rich felt sorry for them and let one in so they could have something to cheer about. HA. Just a little joke, Rich. Too bad we couldn’t get you the shutout.

Ok, that’s enough, I’m all hopped up on Advil from my neck and knee and back. All in all, we played one hell of a game. Maybe one of our best. Next game is Sunday, Aug 3 7:15PM South Rink. Come watch! It’s an early game so NO excuses, HA.

OK, so, who’s gonna watch this with me!!! Watch the S.W.A.T. Trailer or Teaser Trailer. Damn, there should be more tactical espionage movies… Now, if only there was a NAVY and SEALs training post closer to the Silicon Valley…

AND WE’RE .500 BABY! However, we still ended the game (kinda… I think there was a few minutes left) with a little scrum. But, we came out on top with that one. The other player headbutted one of our players (7 minute penalty) while our center Rich (I think he was suspended last game for 3rd man, he’s the greatest and always protects our goalie… no matter who it is for that week =) LOL) yet again protects the goalie. The penalties put us 5 on 4. (they pulled their goalie since were at 5-4 right now.) We win a draw and I’m far up and the pass comes to me and I have to fend off the D on me and I get closer to the empty net (as to not take a shot and shoot WIDE), skate faster to lose the D, take my shot, score. An easy empty netter.

OKOK back to the beginning. Before the game we were a little worried about our goalie situation and the lack of players in the dressing room. Luckly, Rich (our Canadian Goalie) got one of his friends to play, and he did his job well! We lost Joe somewhere in the 2nd or third due to an injury, but luckly we gained another Joe and a Brian too earlier. So, we played with 3 sets of wingers and 2 centers. And I’m oblivious to how many Ds but I think 2 sets…

RIGHT out of the gate, and I’m serious, not even a minute has ticked on the clock and Marshall scores a big goal. I don’t remember but I think this was the goal from downtown (the D slot). I think Marshall got AT LEAST a hat trick.

Late in the third we were getting a little worried, because they scored a goal to inch their way closer to us, took a time out and scored again. Luckly I came on top and took a hard angle shot to the net and had their defenseman in front of the net deflect it in for me. After the game our “Captain” Kelly said to me something like, “All your goals are pretty.” and my normal response to that? I take it how I can get it. One other team deflect and an empty netter, way to stay positive on the +/- and pad those stats! Way to go guys we’re .500 now!

So, again, I cancelled a paintball session because of a lack of enthusiasm. It’s ok, I’ll play soon… I hope. I’m sure it’s all for the best anyway. Check the next POST over…

I DID get to see Bad Boys 2 and have come to a decision…

1. I will never watch a movie on opening night.
2. I will never watch a movie on a Friday or Saturday Night, and some opening night Wednesdays.
3. AND, when those above FAIL, I will be at the theatre AT LEAST an hour BEFORE the movie starts, and NOT a minute AFTER the movie starts!

Well… I DID see the movie. If you can call it that. Me and moO were sitting all the way in the front on the right side. Needless to say it SUCKED. I woulda got my money back and went home, but we were with moO’s sister and her BF and they got a little better seats… higher seats, but still on the side. So throughout the whole movie everything was skewed a lot, and EVEN with my ADHD the movie was hard to follow. I can concentrate fairly well when scenes and cuts change a lot, but when everything is skewed and hard to see, I can’t concentrate. All in all it was a GOOD movie, if you liked the first one, I think this one is WORTH seeing.

Damn, it’s STILL on my forehead! Bah. Lame…

And thus ends another game with a nice scrum… Hosted today by our very own Sean. Although the guy turned around and took a shot at him after the last whistle, do the crime do the time. (Which seems like an on going theme this game) I can recall on the bench during that fight murmers of ”HAHA, he’s messing with the wrong motherf*ker.” I might add that Sean is one our biggest guy, and the other guy wasn’t so big… Well, at least to Sean, not me. Pretty funny… However that got him thrown out of the next game, not like it matters, he’s not gonna be here. LOL. But still, I find it odd that if you protect yourself, you still get a penalty. I think there should have been an instigator penalty given to that other guy if there wasn’t one…

Even before the game starts, I know how a game is going to go JUST when the refs step on to the ice. If it’s that same short Asian chick ref, we’re going to have a ONE-SIDED GAME. There’s got to be some kind of petition to get rid of her, seriously. I don’t know it’s ALL games or just OUR games, but any time she refs our games, she REALLY f*cks us over with BS calls that, yeah sure, might even be penalties, but I know most refs prob will let it go due to the nature of the sport. I see calls un-whistled down that the other team gets away with. And every little thing we to we get called. This isn’t like once in a while type of thing, mind you. This is EVERY GAME she refs for us. I hope I’m not the only one that thinks it.

Let’s have a for instance… Take me… The whole game this ph4g with the yellow helmet was on my ass the whole game. I can handle that, I’m used to that BS. Nothing was ever called. I get pissed off and I go after him and the p*ssy falls down against the boards like the very ph4g he is! I get called for a charging penalty, is that even in the books!? I mean come on call a f’n dive or something b*tch. This guy, like most of them p*ssies that go against me weigh so much more than me. So, you’re telling me that I managed to knock a bigger guy FLAT on his f’n ass? There was NO way I had enough momentum to do that without a little help from… say JUILLIARD. FU B*tch.

Later on I got my revenge, well sorta… He skates toward me while I have the puck and cross checks me to my neck (luckly I had my stick up or he woulda hit my neck HARDER) I fall and bang my head on the ice messing up the back of my neck (hurts right now) and I have some weird line bruise on my forehead from the impact with the ice from my helmet. I think you can see it on my stupid webcam pic on the right. Or, maybe not. Webcams SUCK. Maybe I’ll take a REAL pic and post how stupid I look. Then again, I do look pretty stupid to begin with. Anyway back on subject. Being back on my normal line, I had Dave (the other winger) get my back like he usu does and take the guy down. F*cker, don’t mess with my line!

Minutes tick down to the last few, and my last shift I get this nice NICE breakaway. Been trying to learn to deke a little better. I actually managed a nice shot to the top right corner glove side. When I shoot, for some reason I black out (not really, just don’t pay attention to where the puck is) and then see the puck sitting behind the goalie in the net. Probably a pretty goal it being a breakaway, maybe better if it went straight in, whatever. Now this goal was WAY bittersweet to me. YAY, I scored a goal. But, OH, it didn’t really do anything to advance our team really… You know, like, it wasn’t a winning goal, or say a nail in the coffin, or even a tying goal. Eh, it was just a goal when the other team was giving up, LOL. Bah, pad my stats.

All in all a great game by all, ESP Joe with the 2 shorthanded goals. Damn, we gotta end every game like that. Then we’d have to chane our name! Get ready for an early game next Saturday. I hope I’m awake, I’ll be coming back from a paintball session hopefully…

So, my mom comes home from work and hands me a post-it note with a URL and tells me to take the test. To my surprise the test was only 5 questions long, how are you to tell if you have ADD with only 5 questions… Then again if it were too long, someone with ADD/ADHD wouldn’t make it to the end. So, maybe they’re onto something… I was actually thinking the test would be something like: 1. blah blah blah, 2. blah blah blah, 3. blah blah blah, 4. blah blah blah. 5. Did you actually make it to this question? If you answered yes, you do not have ADD… Damnit, I still have ADHD.

After a conversation with moO, I decided to upload a few songs for this month’s download instead of just the normal one. If you even care and notice ANYTHING on my sidebar on the right.

moO says that because of no more public funding there might not be anymore Reading Rainbow or Sesame Street. Can you even begin to imagine talking to kids in the near future about a giant talking yellow bird, a little annoying red monster you want to kick the sh*t out of, and a suffleupagus, and the kid would just look at you funny because he has no idea what you’re talking about? Then again they do have some other weird kid shows. Does gay, purple, triangle-on-the-head, ”magic” bag wearing, weird looking, ring a bell?

I mean, we already sadly lost one childhood neighbor.

Do we really need old episodes of This Old House, Charlie Rose, Newshour with Jim Lehrer, or Kiss Me Kate on KETH or KQED? I mean for some reason I grew up on This Old House and seeing them fix old houses seem a little intriguing (at least to me), but come on, I can see that on HGTV.

Sesame Street is where MOST of us learned how to count, what near and far is, green mosters who live in garbage cans are mean and talk to worms, learned that 2 males can co-habitat an apartment as well as share a bathtub with each other and the whole street and still be able to be ”hetro” (I think) and be able to talk to each other the next day, and learned how to spell. Some of us still need Sesame Street…
