FAWK yeah! I had a good Tuesday, this week. I got my motorcycle M1 license. Test was hard, cause some of the questions weren’t even talked about in the class. Like the staggering formation, or what would happen if the front/rear tire goes flat. So, yeah, I’m street legal! All I need now is insurance and a jacket and I’m set! Oh, and some time off so I can ride…

Oh yeah, and the STAR WARS DVDs came out too!!!! Hooraaah! Yes, I’m a big dork. But, I wasn’t alone! A ton of other dorks (some normal looking, some not) also flocked to Fry’s for the mega Star Wars sale. Anything Star Wars was on sale, it was l33t!

Man, I haven’t been home for 18 hours. Ugh, time to sleep. Other than that, here’s hockey news. It was just a pre-season game, and heavily one sided. They only had 5 players (and one goalie) to our 11+1. ‘Nuff said. Let’s just keep the ‘W’ streak of 2 going past the pre-season…

Give up? Adam, has both. And, yes, they’re [girlie] color matched. I get enough, “you’re a girl” from everyone I decided, whatever, get the matching silver one. It’s f’n awesome. It’s actually astonishing how well of a company Apple is. Actually not. It always has been, no doubt. Now, if they could just do something about the users… Flame my blog, and you’re just supporting my argument… HAR, I win.

I know I’m a little late, but I was really busy after hockey on Saturday, and I worked a 12hr shift today at EA. I don’t know how I’ll be doing the hockey stats, but I’ll try to update things in a semi-timely manner. Although if it’s during the week, I’d be working 14 hour days, and will probably not post right away. Um… I just realized I never posted the only playoff game results… Um, we lost. I hope that’s enough. Been realy busy.

The sad irony is the fact that we lost to these guys in the first round of the playoffs 4-3. Although, it’s only a playoff game, and I’m sure the teams will still be stacking, I feel good about this team this season. Some old faces, some new faces. Great to see both and be back on the ice. One more playoff game (ugh and it’s a MONDAY game) and it’s for real. Let’s see if we can with the championships this year.

WOW!!! WoW looks really cool. What is WoW? World of Warcraft MMORPG, of course. What’s a MMORPG? Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, DUH. Kinda Like EQ or Star Wars Galaxies (SWiG). And just by looking at it for about 15 minutes before going to the laptop, I think it looks GREAT. So far, no lag, smooth flowing even on my crappy gfx card. Although, I think I’ll stick with SWG for now…

So, today was the last day of my project. I hope it passes the first time. I would hate to have my name on a game that fails constantly. Although, I think if it fails, it isn’t our fault, but the fault of the devs for not fixing what we find… Now, onto another title. Let’s just say it’s a high profile title and I now will work 8AM-10PM. Ok, while I have your attention, I’ll go to sleep now.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY, I finished my motorcycle classes today, YAY ME!!!!! Now all I gotta do is get the paper they mail to me in like 1-2 weeks, then I can go to the DMV then I’m STREET LEGAL! Then again, after that, all I need is a damn speedometer control gearbox in my wheel, which will cost me about $120… Oh well, at least half the hard part is over!

The sad thing is, before we (me and my brother) left the range, three other guys had to start the test over. One guy didn’t have his safety gear on correctly (shield wasn’t down), one guy slipped on some water/oil on the track and dumped the bike on the ground, and the third guy took the U-turn/S-turn thing too quick and lost his balance, put his foot down and then basically gave up and put the bike on the ground. I think they woulda let him continue but the fact that he put the bike down and gave up hurt him. What sucks more is when they retested, he dropped the bike again at the stop skidpad. Gotta come back next week and retest or something…

I was really rooting for this one girl, kinda sad. She was small, and was stuck with this bigger bike and had to tip-toe more than me and my brother did. The first day, I asked the teacher if she’d want to trade, he said, ”Don’t worry about it, she’s gotta learn.” I felt bad. Oh well, she passed… Now, I’m just fiending for a ride!!!

Ok, here’s the scoop… Been really busy, crunch time at work. Mad crazy hours. Don’t even have time to blog. Project was supposed to be over this Monday, but was pushed to God knows when. If I’m lucky, I’ll be pushed on another project. But, I don’t know how good my performance has been lately. I’m a previous tester. I pretty much know what is and isn’t going to be fixed, so it’s tough to make a judgement call about certain bugs. However, having 30 guys fighting over stupid bugs is stupid.

Hockey playoffs: we lost. 3-4 we should have won that game. Now the season is over, and I’m kinda worried about next season, if there is even a team or if I can even afford to pay for it.

Bike is 99% done, just needs new pedals (or get the ones on it straightened), and have the speedo box at the wheels replaced so the speedo will work. Gonna have the classes this weekend. Can’t wait. Soon I’ll be legal to ride the streets.

Been looking at iPods lately. I can’t decide on which one: The $250 4mb Silver Mini iPod, much like my Silver Mini. Or the $236 15GB iPod. Can’t decide. Doesn’t Matter, Best Buy doesn’t carry either of those… Gonna have to buy from Amazon. You know you wanna buy me one… No? =(

After a ~12 hour shift, gotta sleep. Maybe I’ll write more sometime later on…

I guess that’s one way to end a season… In our defense, we were short benched. But, that’s no excuse. We should have fended off these guys. We’ve done better with worse odds. I think. Doesn’t matter, the season is over. We just have to play harder in the playoffs starting next week. Let’s get ’em, guys…

Side note. After looking at the Logitech Ice score sheet, I noticed something. It’s nice to make a dent in that team’s record. They would have gone undefeated if it weren’t for us. Puts a small tear to my eye… Small… Then again, it could have been the outcome of this game…

Ok, so, it’s the end of the day. Everyone’s gone but me, Douglas and leads. I think we were talking about Rumble Roses, an all female wrestling game, then we came upon the subject of DOA Beach Volleyball. Boss girl calls it ”dress-up with Barbie” on a console and claims it’s ok for guys to play if they admit that’s just it. Well, Douglas goes on to say the line, ”If I had boobs, I’d never leave the house.” No one knew how to respond to that. I don’t know what spawned the conversation, I don’t recall if it was about the having boobs or playing with Barbies, but boss girl says something to the effect of, ”That sounds weird coming out of [Douglas’] mouth.” and went on to say, ”if it came out of Adam’s mouth, it’d seem normal.” I’m sensing an HR visit to her office tomorrow… Am I giving out some girl vibe that every girl just zones onto? I’m not going into work tomorrow, and Douglas is going to tell her it’s ’cause I’m at a shrink… I’m not a girl, seriously.
