Back In Hockey

Last night at 10PM, I started up ice hockey again. I need some sort of physical activity again… other than sleeping or sitting up while I type on the keyboard. Ok to be fair to myself, I have been running on the treadmill, so, ok. I still need more activities. I need to somehow shed oh… 15… err… 30lbs… or more, whatever. I gotta look as sick as I did in High School, ok I never looked sick… Healthy I guess was the word… or is healthy what you call people with some holiday fat? um whatever… So yeah, I kept this game somewhat on the downlow, mainly ’cause I figured no one would come anyway, ok the real reason? I didn’t want everyone so see how out of shape I am… I managed to get moO and my parents to go watch me, though, with my dad grumbling like, ”Why do I have to come if he has [moO] going”. So, whatever, I had my own support team up in the stand.

Actually, it wasn’t so bad. I mean, I really did look… not at the top of my game… But, I was afraid I’d feel MUCH worse. So, in the second period we were down 3-1. (did I mention were a new ”franchise”, the other teams had these snazzy pro type jerseys) I started out at center, which quickly killed my stamina. (jeez, gimmie a break, I haven’t played in like 2-3 months!) and was moved to right wing. Not a position I’m used to, as I used to play center. (the phrase is: USED TO)

So, let me paint a picture for you, kind of like in baseball: bottom of the ninth, bases loaded, tie score, full count, you’re up to bat, only more dramatic. Ok, its our first game, so maybe not so dramatic. I’m 1 on 1 with the goalie… oh and the guy in between us. I’m skating alone to them, a few dekes waiting as long as I can to close the distance between us for a good shot, I let it go, GOAL! YAY! I get the winning goal of the game. How cool is that?!

Ok, we didn’t win any championship, I’m still tired as heck, so maybe not so cool. Well, I guess it’s cool I got a goal. I mean it was bad enough I showed the guys my horrible stamina on the ice. My only excuse was, ”I’m getting old.” To which I added a chuckle, since most of the guys there were much, or not so much, older than me. I haven’t yet been able to show my true ability on ice… Or did I? Nah, I know I can do better. I just gotta keep on at it. Keep running, maybe even go to Hockey Work-Out, go to some free-skate over there at Vallco.

Hey, wait a minute! I should still have like 9 free passes to my account there! LOL I paid for them like when I had money and never used them. Guess where I’ll be going every so often… Well, time for me to rest. I’ve had a strenuous night.

Interesting Hold Music

So, I’m sitting on the phone on hold with Sony, and in the background it sounds like they’re playing pr0n music as their hold music, no lie. I guess if it’s just hold music and no one is talking to me it would be consitered as the foreground music? I SWEAR I thought I heard a girl moan! For those who care, or wanna find out for themselves, the number to Sony’s Product Support Line is 1-877-760-7669… Darn, there’s more than ones song. Maybe you might not get the same song I did. Damn, I’m still on hold and now I have to go to the bathroom!

Babies & Babes… Oh & Cars Too

Yesterday, I went with Tanya and Ronny to San Mateo to visit my Grandmother, my Aunt and her son and baby twin girls. All three kids are growing up so fast. The twins are up and standing on their own. Julia is learning to spit at people, cute but probably not the thing to teach a baby. Nicole was, for most of the day, unresponsive to any of us. At the end of the visit she finally warmed up to us, only to find us saying goodbye to her. Shane, on the other had, seemed really jealous that we were paying attention to the girls and not to him, although I did find myself playing ”Jamba Juice” with him for a big part of the day. Ronny attempted to take a nap on the couch (Tanya, Ronny & crew drove to Cash Creek the night before and came back 7:30 AM) and was repeatedly awoken by Shane. I think the kids enjoyed our company. It was nice seeing my grandmother too. Yeah, my aunt as well, since she and the kids live in Hawaii.

Later that evening I had to come back up to San Mateo for a car show at the fair grounds. I wanted to go earlier but I went with Mop and he lags. Ha! You do, man. Originally, we agreed on 6:30, but we didn’t leave until like 7:30. Interestingly enough, moO came along too. I even got her to pose with 2 other models. I don’t think I have clearence to post it yet. I really enjoy car shows. I guess I miss having them all the time around here. Now its like never close here, luckly this one was so close. It’s all good, there’s two more in CA that I might go to. One is next week at the Infineon Raceway (Sears Point Raceway) and there’s another one on the 22nd in Sacramento. Anyone interested in going? Good, I need a ride! AHahaAaHAahAHHAHahH j/k. I have a bunch of pics from the car show but you can’t see them here. This is a clean site! HarHar. You gotta check out AzNRaCeRZz.com to see them. Go find them. Wait. As of now I haven’t posted any of them. Yeah, yeah, I’m lazy. It’ll be up soon.

Fudge

I just shattered the glass piece of my PEG-N710C…. 760… #$@%#$!^#$%!#$ Now I gotta find out if they can fix it at Sony… Hrm, if not, maybe I can go buy the new model! =)

Christina, Ludacris, & MTV Music Awards

Um… Did anyone else see the little number Christina Aguilera was wearing at the MTV Music Awards. No complaints here, but that was a bad pic they took. I wasn’t looking, honest!

So, Ludacris will be starring in the new Fast & the Furious 2 movie. More rappers in movies, that’s what we need….

Too bad all the funny stuff was in the beginning. Yes, Jimmy Fallon was pretty hilarious, it just went downhill after about 20 minutes. Sorry, Jimmy. I’m glad Eminem took most of the awards, HA!

*Eminem bashing posts will be deleted!*

Nostalgia & Tee Time Results

I’ve had a large feeling of nostalgia lately. I blame it on my little brother. He ransacked my parents’ room and too all the old home videos and watched them. Don’t ask me why he did, he’s a little weird sometimes. But, after walking past his room while he was playing an old tape of us playing hockey, I sat down with him and watched a bit. I believe that was sometime senior year. I wish I had a working video/audio capture thingie, I’d try to put up a clip of it. Oh well. In any case, I was going through some of MY tapes and came upon some old tae kwon do, hockey, and even wrestling tapes!

Yes, I’m guilty of being a wrestler. How many of you knew that? I wrestled 7th, 8th, and Freshman year in High School. 7th, I dunno how well I did. 8th I went to county’s. Freshman I went to CCS. I managed to score MVP 7th grade and Freshman years. My brother found out I wrestled in JR. & High school. He also found out I was in the lowest weight class the whole time and that many of my matches were won by a bye. Sure, it’s true, I don’t care. I did however prove myself when I had the chance, especially with finals. I lost interest in wrestling during Freshman year since I started tae kwon do.

Starting from scratch, I moved up the ranks fairly quickly. I managed to become 1st degree black belt in 2 years and for my remaining year I was Head Instructor, Co-Owner, and head of the demonstration team. Ah, those were the days. I was a real show-off back in those days. Being on the Demo Team really pushed me to learn new things like cool moves and flips and stuff. Really early in my tae kwon do career, my potential was definetly discovered and I was placed on the demo team as a white belt. On my own time, while I was in the studio and no classes, I pushed myself to learn backflips, frontflips, arials, and other cool things. This jumpstarted a whole new era for the studio. LOL, I call it the ”Wong” era. At one point in time I actually had a demo competition with the Head Master and the other school of ours. I forget where it was, I think it was some church. After the dust cleared, our demo team came up top. I wish I had a video of it. I know someone who does. But I can’t seem to find her. I’m also missing my black belt testing on video. I WOULD have that on tape, but my parents didn’t go to it. So, I don’t have a tape of it. I know of 2 people who have a video of that, and again, I have no way of contacting them. So, sad. I never got to replay that time of my life. One of the highlights of my life. My peak. So sad. Now it’s gone. Gone forever? I hope not, I hope I can get a copy of those tapes. Perhaps… Someday.

Today was our outing at the Pruneridge Golf Course. I did horrible today, it was so pathetic. I dunno what it was, but I just couldn’t hit straight. Maybe I just need more practice. You can see our scored by either clicking on the comments link or by clicking on ”MORE.” I got a little lazy with the putts. I think moO had fun out there, but I know she was really frustrated with the game in general. I think, today, I was too. I think we bored my brother out there ’cause we took so long. Maybe that’s why he went to Deep Cliff an hour or so ago without me! Ph4g!!! I wanted to go to Deep Cliff. It’s way better than Pruneridge. I dunno if it was just the time of day, but it was really muddy. All in all, I think Deep Cliff is a better course, and plus it’s prettier. I think I’ll bring a camera next time!

Check out my link of the moment. I saw this a long time ago, and recently surfaced to me again, I thought I’d share it with you. It’s pretty cool CG. Don’t care for the car AT ALL, but very well done.

The Transporter

Before I forget, remember to see: The Transporter. Why? Other than the fact that I said so? Ok Well, you have cool starts like Jason Statham, Matt Schulze, and SHU QI! You can see Jason in ”The One” with Jet Li. Matt Schulze was in this little movie, you might have heard of it, ”The Fast and The Furious”. (Har Har) And of course, Shu Qi. You might not have heard of her, but I bet she’s up and coming! I saw her in a semi big bugeted Chinese movies called ”Gorgeous”. I’d show her to people, but, someone has my copy… Oddly, I don’t think she’s that ”gorgeous,” not to horrible either, though. From the ”Transporter” trailers I’ve seen, it looks like a really cool movie… but I’ll let you read more about it at the links.

Tee Time

Ok, so, I know I bitched a lot about how I didn’t get to golf today. But, it did suck. I was planning to go to Deep Cliff again today at 6:30 PM but then I found out my dad took them to play earlier this morning and wasn’t to return until like 8. So I just waited until he came back and then I took my brother to Pruneridge to go drive and practice chipping. I dunno if I’m getting better. I guess we’ll see tomorrow since we have a 11:20 AM tee time, and moO is coming this time! We’re in for a few laughs. Hehe just kidding moO… or am I? I’ll be sure to post the results to this one! Is golf such a popular sport that you have to reserve times? Why isn’t there reserved times for tennis? It’s always crowded when I want to play tennis. Then again, tennis is usually in a park somewhere where it’s a public place, versus a privately owned course. Whatever…
