Pam sent me an email about how you know you grew up in the 80’s if you agree with some list of nostalgic items. I think I’ve gotten this email several times from a lot of people. I think I can even recall this same email from her a while back. LOL! Check out my witty smart ass responses…

Hockey 11/28/01
I played a tough game last night… night before? What time is it? Er, whatever, I played a tough game this Wednesday. The only thing on my mind was, Don’t get kicked out. Don’t get kicked out. I even got talked to before the game by the ref. He’s a cool guy and he knows me, so it wasn’t like a serious talk. So, I managed to play the game without getting a penalty. Unfortunetly, I didn’t even get a goal this game either. I think I managed an assist though. We played the team we played out first game to, the Genies, where we beat them 3-6 where I got the 1st hat trick of the season. This time was another win for us. After 3 periods we win, 7-2. Yay us! I just can’t wait until next week, that’s where the real stress comes. We’re to play the first place team, who are UNDEFEATED! I’m gonna need all the support I can get. So, come and watch if you’re in the area!
Amazon.com
AHAHHAHAHA I was really bored last night, can’t you tell….
I DO have a book or two on there. I would have put another Tom Clancy book on there, but I don’t know what his newest good one was. Plus, I haven’t even gotten around to finishing “Rainbow Six,” I bought a long time ago hardbound, yet.
Facial Hair #2
Ok, here it is. I managed a decent shot. I’m NOT photogenic what so ever, so you lucky you get a pic a year or so. I dunno if this is a good enough pic to actually see how much hair is there. NOTE: no matter how sad this sounds, this is actually maybe 2 months of not shaving. Sad, eh? Most guys look like this after maybe a few days to a week. Not me, I’m somewhat Asian, that’s my excuse, and that’s what I’m sticking with. I still think it’s pathetic…
The Weakest Link
As, I watched the Star Trek celebrity edition of The Weakest Link last night, I was thinking, ‘Hey, they’re gonna make an ish load of money.” I was reminded, they’re not geniuses, they’re actors. I’m thinking, AHAHAH no they’re Star Trek people, nerdiness comes with the package! I mean, come on, Levar Burton? Reading Rainbow? I don’t think they’d hire some stupid illiterate “shmoe” for 20 years, or however long he’s been on that cool ass show. Alas, I was correct in my assumption. Together the misc. Star Trek Crews racked up a whopping $167,500 for charity. It came down to “Geordi La Forge” (Levar Burton) from The Next Generation and the “Doctor” (Robert Picardo) from Voyager. With a small slip up from the good Doctor, it put Lt. Comdr La Forge as the winner. That goes to show, don’t judge a book by the insides, but by its cover… Wait…
Puzzle Bobble
Play the Puzzle Bobble game here! I used to be so addicted to this game and Puzzle Fighter back in high school. In Japan, they call it “Puzzle Bobble” and here it’s “Bust-a-Move.” Funny cause our “Bust-a-Groove” in Japan is “Bust-a-Move.” Confusing.
Facial Hair
As some might have noticed, I’ve grown a little goatee. Not by choice mind you, but rather sheer laziness. I probably would have done it by now, but moO wanted to see how it could turn out. I suppose it doesn’t look too bad. Although, in my opinion, Asians don’t grow facial hair very well. Hell, my wannabe goatee is missing the sides, I can’t even join it all together! It looks so stupid. Damn, I really wanna shave it off ’cause it makes me look older. Sometimes I don’t mind that, but I’d like to keep my baby face. Then again my eyes and wrinkles give me away. I think it was odd when the waiter at Chili’s last Wednesday didn’t ask me for ID when I ordered a Tokyo Tea. Hehe, maybe I’m not even 21!… š
Hospital
Yesterday, I went to the hospital to visit my grandmother. It was sad ’cause she was in there for Thanksgiving. What was only supposed to be a routine back surgery, but ended up having a heart attack and lengthened her stay there. As if the mild heart attack wasn’t enough, the thought of sticking a tube in her neck and running the risk of puncturing her lung was enough to scare anyone. Well the good thing is she’s gonna make it. The bad thing is she still has a lot of surgery left, they didn’t even get to finish the initial surgery, and she won’t be able to be out for my birthday or maybe even Christmas. I suppose that sounds a little selfish, but it’s the first year she isn’t coming. Well, it’s all ok, ’cause she’ll go through the surgery, go home and we’ll all live on. The last I heard, everything was ok, and she’ll be just fine after all of the surgeries. I’m praying for a speedy recovery, so she can spend the holidays with us. Get better fast, Yen-Yen.
Happy Turkey Day!
I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving with enough food and family for everyone. Sure it seems a little early to be talking in the past tense, but our family is weird. We eat Thanksgiving dinners early. God bless!
