Ah, Robot Wars. Anyone else seen that show? One version, which usually plays on PBS 54 late nights, the guy from Red Dwarf hosts it, the other on TNT Mick Foley hosts. I don’t know what it is about this show but it just kicks ass. I believe there’s other kinds of robot wars, spin offs, but as far as I know this is the original. In this version, there are house robots Refbot, Shunt, Dead Metal, Matilda, Sergeant Bash, and my favorite Sir Killalot.

The housebots, thought to be indestructable, last night I saw a contender, Razer, take on two house robots. Claiming to have a grip of over 900 lbs the feisty scorpion-looking thing took chunks out of his challenger and the housebots. Shunt has his bulldoser blade bent. Matilda had her outer shell ripped away from her. This was the first time I’ve ever seen a contender bot even touch a house bot like that. What’s more is the next episode another contenter by the name of Chaos2 started flipping house robots on their sides. Makes me want to go out and build one of my own.

Do you remember that painter Bob Ross? Damn that guy is good. I remember watching this guy on PBS thinking, I can do that! He makes it look SO easy. So, the next time I saw him on I had a bunch of paint and other supplies and tried to paint along with him. Needless to say, it didn’t quite turn out the same as his. I’m wondering, is he still doing new shows? The end credits said 2001, so, I don’t know. If he does, he still has that same red brown fro. That’s the coolest.

Ok, as some of you might have noticed, I have changed my email address. I did it with recommendations by Jesse in order to crack down on spam and Mass Mail. Now the thing is, I haven’t even deleted my old email address. But, I haven’t gotten any MM since. How weird. I suppose that’s Murphy’s Law. Eh?

Well, it turns out Jesse, too, is joing the no job club. Best wishes goes out to him. Hey, man, school looks better and better. Can you claim Unemployment?

You ever have those days where you don’t want to do anything? I’m like that all everyday. Only, today was worse. Today (I guess it’s yesterday), like every Wednesday is hockey day. You’d think I’d be totally stoked. Stoked? I just didn’t feel like playing today. It was ok ’cause the closer and closer it got to game time, the more I wanted to play. It came out ok, but I just didn’t seem in it even when I was on the ice. I mean I wanted to play, I just didn’t see any opportunity for a break-away or a good scoring opportunity, I had to settle for a couple shots on goal and an assist. Well, we won the game 4-2 despite the fact that my lucky charm, Shia, wasn’t there. LOL.

Damnit, I’m still trying to figure out what video I saw the other day on ch. 26 California Music Channel. There is a video with some girl sitting in a tattoo shop getting a tattoo of her boyfriend’s name on the side of her arm. While there she looks outside and sees some dude and they both make eye contact. After getting the tattoo, she goes home to find her boyfriend with another girl in bed with him. She leaves the room and starts thrashing the place. One memorable scene is when there’s a picture of them in a frame, where she drops it and steps on it. Later in the video you see the boyfriend in his car in front of her house, and you see her coming out of the house with the dude from outside the tattoo shop.

I don’t even know why I’m curious about this video. It isn’t even my type of music. Anyone know what song it is?

Lol, Jesse bought me a book for my birthday, Building Really Annoying Web Site. It’s f*king funny. I think just about every web developer, young or old, has at least commited one of these crimes written in this book. Hell, some still do. I am guilty of half of this book. Maybe not any more, ok ok, some I still am. I was crushed to find that orange is consitered as an annoying background color. F*k off, so what? But, the greatest thing about this book is that not only do they show what is annoying the world, but also shows how to use those same annoying things for good (IF you can). One example of annoyance I use, forcing links to a new window. WTF? I don’t care. I want a reader to stay here, whilst going somewhere else, get it? Then again it goes on to say it’s usually only annoying if EVERY link even to your own pages are forced. OK. Ahahahah another thing that annoys everyone is small text. The funny thing is I use a 1024×768 resolution (or bigger size depending on computer) and I can read the text just fine. I’m just scared to see how big the text would be on a 640×480 screen. Yet people still complain my text is too small. Weird.

I think the funniest ones are the navigational ones. Please click to cancel, and shows two boxes marked OK and Cancel. I want to close the window, so what do I click!? OR, To not proceed with the operations, don’t click this link. Weird, eh?

I started my day yesterday at about 3:30 pm. I sleep a lot on the weekend. After a short car ride to the east, Shia, Hassan, and I arrive at a building with a lot of sharks. As we sit down, the lights go dim thens some maniac in some green lantern color scheme spadex skin tight outfit tells us San Jo-zee sucks.

WTF did I do yesterday? Actually, I went to see WWF with the buds at the Compaq Center Downtown, some might call it the “Shark Tank.” You’re probably asking, “WWF? Are you 10?” Ahahaha no, well, maybe. You might never know. I went with Shia and Hassan since they bought me tickets to this event for my birthday. I’m sure glad they did ’cause it was actually really cool! The seats were pretty good too. Not on the floor or near the ring, but a couple rows behind where the benches would be in hockey.

There was 2 main events one in the middle and one at the end. I think I liked the middle on best, ’cause it was the Texas Tornado Tag Team Match with Stone Cold Steve Austin & The Rock vs. Kurt Angle & Chris Jericho. Who do you think won?

Jacqueline Ref’ed the Women’s title bewteen Lita and some Big-bootie-ho, oh her name was Jazz. Lita won, ’nuff said.

A cool match was Kane & Big Show vs. Dudley Boyz for the Tag Team Chionship title. Sure the big boys lost but they kicked the Dudley Boyz ass after the match. Breaking a table with a human body RoX0rZz!!!

A weird match where I was a little disappointed was for the European Chionship title between Christian and Tajiri (if you don’t know, Tajiri looks Asian). What sucked about this match was that the Asian dood lost. Boooo!!! I hope he is European, or it wouldn’t make any sense.

One thing we couldn’t figure out was why they had to change refs every fight, was one match too strenuous?

I managed to forget my damn camera in the car with my jacket. I was a little over dressed for WWF so I left my leather jacket in the car. I’m always overdressed for every occasion.

After the all the wrestling we went to go eat then we met up with a big bunch of my old HS classmates to see Spike and Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation, it was a little slow at times, but some of them were pretty funny. “MY SPOON IS TOO BIG!!!” “I am a banana.”


After that we went over to South First Billiards for some drinks. I think we were there a little too long ’cause I got a little tired of the area. Or maybe it was something else.

We, Shia, me, moO and Jesse finished the night up with some Carrows. I think Carrow’s is my favorite place to eat, I dunno even why. It ain’t even THAT good a food.

Ugh, my throat still hurts from all the screaming and yelling at the wrestlers. Or maybe I’m getting sick. Oh, well, it was a good day!

I should be studying for finals for tomorrow, but I took a short break to fill you in.

F*ck college basketball (for being on ch.4), f*ck NBC (for playing college basketball on Thursday night at 8), f*ck bay area NBC affiliates (for blacking out). My Friends NEW episode wasn’t shown at 8 o’clock. grrr……….

Birthdays, when you’re young you can’t wait for it. When you get older, you could do without it. I think I’m just about in the middle of the two at this point in my life.

In any case, yesterday was a blast! I got to play a great hockey game while the buds (moO, Jesse, Shia, Hassan and Pam) watched and cheered me on, then hang out with them.

The first place team was a tough one. First period we score, shortly after the other team answers with a goal of their own. 1-1. Some time in the second period we score again, which the other team replies once again with another goal. 2-2 Third period I’m sitting behind the opposing goalie when someone on our team takes a shot and I see the puck behind him. Looing around waiting for the whistle for a split second, I grab the puck and put it in the goal to make it 2-3. Nearing the middle of the 3rd, I get some speed and some dekeing skills around two of opposing team deke the goalie out and with my backhand put it in over the goalie’s shoulder to get the “go ahead goal.” Shortly after the time runs out and we win 2-4.

Somewhere in the middle I was getting a little disapointed with myself, it being my birthday and all, I hadn’t scored any goals or gotten any assists. But it all turned out ok. Stupid Hassan just HAD to point it out that I didn’t get my hat-trick. Bastard, LOL j/k. Well, at least I got the winning goal and the go-ahead-goal.

After the game and a short celebration with the team, the buds and I went back to my house for pizza. We finished the meal with a chocolate pie Shia brought. Over all, you have to say it was a good day.
