Yesterday, my uncle and I brought my brother to his hockey game. I was to tape his game for my parents since they’re still out of town.(they get back tomorrow morning) The game before his was a pretty cool game. I think it was an age group above his. Anyway, it was the 3rd period and not much time left. The home team was down 2-1. Frustrated, they ended up getting two penalties, at different times. So, down by one, playing 5 on 3, about 2 minutes left, the opposing team held the puck up to waste time. Unfortunetly, for the team ahead, the ref blows the whistle. I guess you can’t just hog the puck to waste time, they should have just passed the puck a lot to waste time. But, no, they just held it behind their goal. This stops the play for a face off in the Away team’s ice. The Home team wins the face off, and scores! The game ends 2-2.

Oh, my brother’s game? Well, I have the first ten minutes of his game on tape. Hrm, his games are 45 minutes long! Yeah, he said the batteries were charged. Yeah… They weren’t. So his team struggled most of the game, getting scored on within the first 2 minutes of the game, and until the last 2 minutes were 1-2. After those two minutes, Phillip scores the tieing goal. All the parents cheer.

Woohoo! The Sharks finally signed Nabokov! Maybe they’ll win some now… Then again, they just lost to the Blackhawks 2-3. At least I have hockey soon! YAY! Hope we do better this time.

Horrible! We managed to lose again last Sunday. This time 1-8! And we had almost 3 full forward lines (Center and 2 wingers). I say ”almost” because we HAD 3 full lines, but 1 guy got ejected because he didn’t have a chin strap… LAME! Well, I guess it’s ok. I didn’t do as bad as I could have, I only came out of the game with a -2. The worst I could have done was a -8. I got 2 REALLY good shots on goal, but that’s about it. My excuse is that we’re a new ”franchise” so we don’t work as a team yet. All the other teams have been together a while and work great together. They all have matching jerseys and socks. We look like the bad news bears of hockey. Kinda like those ghetto Mighty Ducks. At least this week, I don’t have any big injuries or bruises. I’m still a little sore, but that’s expected.

I’m wondering if I should make my blog an ”un-abridged” blog, with no holds barred blogging, or have a separate one just for me. Obviously there’s more to my life that’s written here. It just might not be appropriate for such a public document. Oh well, whatever.

Stupid Shakira. She can shake it, but, she’s NOT allowed to steal my ice time at the HP Pavillion! My game at the HP Pavillion is postponed because SOMEONE just HAS to have a concert then and there. Stupid.

Ok, so, my family is gone for more than a week. My parents left on Friday and I just dropped off my sister at the airport. They’re off to Hawaii to visit the rest of the family. The twins are having a 1 year birthday over there. I couldn’t go because of money, school, and work. Fun, fun, fun! So, I’m stuck here with my brother all week. I guess it’s ok, he’ll be gone until Sunday night, himself. He has hockey in Sparks this weekend, so until then I’m all by myself. Wheee. Non stop parties until next Sunday or so…

Yeah, right. I don’t know that many people to even make a decent party. Not to mention too many people would make me claustrophobic. Hell, I don’t even know enough people to make a decent picnic! Back to square one.

I guess I’ll sit at home and watch a little TV.

Yes, Adam’s playing with the Dazzle again. I have a semi good quality video of this same video, but its like 56Mb and I don’t feel like uploading it up on my host. Anyone know how to use this stupid thing? Oh yeah, tell me if it works for you, I don’t know if I used the right codec setting.

Oh, and if you don’t have DSL/Cable or faster and use some sort of dial-up, sucks for you. =)

Ugh, this late night hockey is going to catch up with me soon. I guess it’s ok, I took a nap at like 8:30 before the game. Not ok that I was almost late! Not that it mattered. Today we got a ”BYE” since the other team had only 4 players and no goalie. You know what that means! A win! YAY! This takes us to a record of 1-2-1, not exactly championship style records, but it’s still early in the season. In any case, our team joined the refs and the other players that showed up and split up into 2 teams and had a little scrimmage.

Nothing else big to report, so I leave you with a little knowledge. ”It’s only stalking if you get caught.” I dunno why or where I heard this, so don’t ask. Scary but true.

I don’t think I’ve mentioned how much I really like the new Need for Speed commercials. The one that gave me the biggest stomach ache laughing was the one where they pull up beside the cop, one guy gets out of the passenger side, runs to the speed limit sign in front of them an spray paints a big black ”1” in front of the numbers. Then runs back into the car and they drive off with the cops in tow. too funny.

But, the video that gets the Biggest Stomach Cramp of the year award is the Tekken 4 commercial. Some scrawny kid is in the kitchen making noises which resemble the stereotype Bruce Lee/martial arts yaulp, and at the same time making a scrambled egg while flexing and taunting the egg as if it were a fighter or a nemesis of some sort. At the end he yaulps again, puts a bite of egg in his mouth, spits it out and crys with a ”modified” yaulp. HOT! Yes, hot egg makes even a grown man cry. So, the egg is the actual victor! Too funny, you gotta see it. Gonna find clips on the web so you too can enjoy without having to wait in front of the TV 24 hours a day in anticipation of seeing the commercial.

YaY! Hockey started yesterday! At least I have something to do on the weekends now! Gotta tape all the games while I’m at work, so I can watch ’em all when I get home and on the weekends.

Crap, I was gonna tape ”Friends” today, I had everything all set up; timer all set up, cable set to A side (Adam don’t usually watch A side.), eveything good to go. I come home to find my clock blinking. That’s not good. Crap, someone blew a fuse in my section! Stupid, my room is connected to the air conditioner, fridges, and microwaves. yeah, plural. We have like 4 fridges (my brother, my parents’, and I have mini fridges; and we have a full size in the kitchen). Theres also 3 microwaves in the house, one in the kitchen, one in my parents’ room, and one in mine. Yeah, a bunch of crap in our house. (on a side note we have almost one TV in every room for a total of seven TV’s. At one point in time we had one big screen TV with a non functioning TV on top of it in the family room. Don’t ask. Oh, and don’t EVEN ask how many computers we have total in the house.

Hey, kick ass. Rick Yune is in the new 007 movie! Doesn’t he play another ”bad guy?” Yay, we need more bro’s and bra’s in the media!

Ok, so someone told me that the guy from ”Memento” was also in the ”Sopranos.” Then at work, while flipping through the channels I saw this guy in the ”Sopranos” and then ”Bad Boys.” I had no idea it was him! So, I went home and looked him up and apparently he’s done alot of ish! You know he was also in the ”Matrix?!”

I really like Madonna’s new song ”Die Another Day,” which is the theme song of the new Bond movie of the same name. The video is pretty cool too. She fights ”herself” with fencing foils, a broadsword, and a battle axe. You have to see the part at the end with Oddjob. I give the fighting a B+. Pretty high for a video and an American choreographed fight scene. I’m only assuming that it was choreographed by a NON-Chinese. Still a good one, despite its short length.

Last night was one of the hardest games we’ve played, ever. With only 8 players plus a goalie we suffered a near no-rest 60 minutes, while the opposing team had 3 full lines and plenty of rest. Despite our large handicap we played our best game to date. Still out-shot, but the margin the smallest it’s ever been, we ended the 60-minute endurance game with a 2-2 tie. I’m sure that was the best we could hope for. Drawing 3 penalties for the night, I was beaten up pretty badly. One of those penalties I was in front of the net and had just gotten a nice shot (unfortunately, all I got was goalie pads) then was crossed-checked from behind. The second penalty was in the opposing corner, where I was literally lifted in the air, and as I fell I landed face first (with my feet in the air) into the ice. I can still feel the pain in my neck. 3rd period I jumped to my shins and stopped a shot with the top of my kneecap. Yes, the small part where there is no padding. I gonna have a big bruise there! I can’t wait ’till next week!

Dave & Buster’s has to be one of my most favorite hang out spots. Video games, munchies, & alcohol, what more could one ask for on a Saturday night? Sure, maybe more or better games, but it’s still cool. So, this Saturday I got to get out of the house and play some games. Out with me was Shia and moO. Had a litt-o al-key-hol and won some D&B tickets. Yes, yes, Adam sucks at B-Ball.
